“This is a very diverse group of graduates. They went to different schools. They grew up in different neighborhoods. They took a variety of paths to get to this achievement,” said APS Superintendent, Scott Elder. “Some of them learn differently than others or have had to help their families. Some of them have faced illness or injury, or just needed a little more time to mature or get motivated. And a handful of them chose to do it early, take extra lessons over the years so they could hurry up and start the next chapter of their lives. I’m proud of them all and I congratulate them. , as well as their families.
Summer graduation is a colorful event, with students from APS’ versatile and magnetic high schools wearing caps and gowns in their school’s colors.
