CALHOUN COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG / WECP) – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Blountstown High School employee for possible improper conduct.
“We were contacted by staff at Blountstown High School who had received information that there may have been inappropriate contact between a high school employee and possibly members of the student body,” the County Sheriff said. Calhoun, Glenn Kimbrel.
According to Sheriff Kimbrel, school officials reported the alleged contact was via text or social media. Sheriff Kimbrel said as soon as his office was notified, they began to investigate.
“We had to interview different people whose names were provided to us by the high school staff,” Kimbrel said.
No arrests were made in the incident. The sheriff said he did not know the status of employees on campus and he did not confirm whether the employee in question was male or female. He added that since this is an ongoing investigation, they are unable to disclose further details at this time.
We also reached out to the principal of Blountstown High School and the Calhoun County Superintendent of Schools, and both said this matter was under investigation, but declined to comment further.
Sheriff Kimbrel said his office is doing what it can to get to the bottom of this.
“The sheriff’s office is not looking at anything other than what we are looking at with respect to the complaint. It doesn’t matter to us who it is, where it is or what it is.
