Boston Firefighters Credit Union awards scholarships to member families

(Dorchester, MA) June 21, 2021 – The Boston Firefighters Credit Union (BFCU) has awarded two college scholarships and two high school scholarships to children and grandchildren of first responders. BFCU created this scholarship to relieve stress for families trying to manage the cost of education. The College scholarship is awarded to students who are dependents or descendants of any past or present member of the BFCU and who will be attending a full-time educational institution in the fall. The recipients of the college scholarships were Matthew Perachi from Medfield who will be attending the University of Vermont and William Sears from Carver, who will be attending the Wentworth Institute of Technology in the fall. The high school scholarship recipients were Bridget and Madeline Ryan from West Roxbury, who will be attending Mount Alvernia High School in the fall.
