Gujarat: High schools to give morning team lessons | Ahmedabad News

AHMEDABAD: After primary schools, the state education department ordered secondary and higher schools to operate only in the morning, sources in the state government said.
With schools closed for on-campus education due to the Covid-19 situation, the morning hours seem to be the prime time for teachers to run classes online.
The move comes after representations from secondary and higher school teachers in this regard, sources said.
Recently, the department ordered elementary schools to operate in the mornings and hold online education sessions during this time. The director of primary education also issued a circular in this regard last week.
Last month, a group of elementary school teachers lobbied the state government to allow schools to operate only in the morning.
Schools are closed due to Covid-19 for on-campus education and teachers are running online classes for the new school year which began on June 7.
The National Association of Primary Teachers recently wrote to the Director of Primary Education about this.
After a long hiatus of about nine months, the government had started opening schools for on-campus study in January on a phased basis, but had to close them soon and switch to online education after an increase in number of Covid. -19 cases.
