Nashville man charged with trafficking high school student

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WKRN) – A Nashville man was arrested Friday afternoon after an investigation found he trafficked a high school student for sex.

Shawnvecceo Swain, 30, was arrested on Friday after a resource officer at Metro Nashville School received reports that an 18-year-old student appeared in an online advertisement for prostitution.

Special Victims detectives were able to locate the ad online and tracked the number on the ad to Swain. The police found the 18-year-old girl alone in a motel room in Antioch, where she was later taken to a safe place by the authorities.

In an interview with detectives, the 18-year-old revealed that Swain was forcing her into prostitution.

Police located Swain at a Harding Place gas station on Friday afternoon in a Nissan Altima with an expired temporary tag. Inside the vehicle was a gram of crack, 8.8 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of marijuana, as well as a shotgun and a rifle.

Swain was arrested and is currently being held on $ 145,000 bail on charges of trafficking for a commercial sex act, possession of methamphetamine and illegal possession of firearms.
