The University of Rochesterit is Laser energetics laboratory inaugurated the expansion of a $42 million, 66,000 square foot office and laboratory building. The expansion connects directly to the existing LLE building on East River Road in Brighton, New York.
The new three-story building will house laboratories and offices for approximately 110 LLE scientists and staff and will include a Class 1000 target fabrication lab and a thin-film coating lab, a laser computing facility and several other labs. wet and general laboratory spaces. LeChase Construction began expanding the building in July with the addition expected to be completed in 2024. LLE was last expanded in 2003 to house the OMEGA EP Laser.
